Our second summer in Scarborough and what a delight it is.  We have just had a stroll along the Esplanade with Jessie who had a frolic in the sea yesterday and her old legs are suffering today!! The yachts are out on the harbour and the views are spectacular.  We have had so many return guests this year it has been a real pleasure to see them again.  Many of them are walkers and return of tales of cycling through Dalby Forest on the blue trail and walking the cinder track from Ravenscar to Robin Hoods Bay.  We love catching up with the adventures as they tuck into breakfast at The Waves.  The children have loved the rock pools this year and I am told that there are lots of crabs!  Alpamare has proved popular amongst our youngest guests and the Sea Life and the steam train is always raved about, particularly the sharks.

There is so much diversity in this lovely part of North Yorkshire and we love to share the travellers tales and adventures and pass on the tips in age old tradition.

If you are a regular of The Waves please send me your photos of your trip and I will put them on the blog with your permission of course!!  One of my most endearing stories recently have been a couple in their 80s who returned at the end of the day having enjoyed an adventure on the pedallos in Peasholm Park (reliving their honeymood from 60 years earlier) - that vision will stay with me for a long time !!!
